Aware of the importance of social responsibility, Commonwealth Life for each years active in performing activities which are privately organized or with other community social institute in order to help the fellows.
Social activities have been performed by Commonwealth Life from year to year, among others are:
Year 2011
- In the holy month of Ramadhan, Commonwealth Life brings the orphanage children from Yayasan Nurul Iman to spend their day while waiting to break fasting by playing and learning in Kidzania, an edutainment facilities for children. Moreover, Commonwealth Life also gives donation, souvenir and break fasting meals to Yayasan Nurul Iman as the form of corporate social responsibility.
- In celebrating Indonesia's Insurance Day on 18 October 2011. Comonwealth Life held Blood for Life that is an event in form of blood donor by inviting all of Commonwealth Life and Commonwealth Bank employees and also the employee around the Wisma Metropolitan area, Jakarta. The event was in cooperation with Indonesia's Red Cross (PMI) and was held at the Commonwealth Life Head Office in Jakarta.
- As the form of the company's concern regarding the importance of education, Commonwealth Life gave donation in form of sport field to SDN 4 Sijuk, Belitung. All of the Commonwealth employee are also participating by giving donation in form of books that had been collected in hundreds.
Year 2010
- The Child Friendly School – Learning Communities for Children (CLCC) program with UNICEF still continue up to this year. Currently the implementation for the “AJEL” (Active, Joyful, Effective Learning) program is still continued. The monitoring phase also continues to be done in each school.
- Commonwealth Life in partnership with Sonora 92.0 FM shared the happiness of Idul Fitri with the travelers by giving them money, meals, and souvenirs to the travelers in several traveling points such as in Pantura, Indramayu, Cirebon, Cikampek, Merak, Jakarta and Bandung. The gift and souvenirs were given to eighteen travelers. The program was officially launched by Tony Cook (Operations Director) at the Gambir central train station on September 3, 2010 and ended on September 14, 2010.
- Commonwealth Life invited its employees to collect donations for the natural disaster victims of Mount Merapi, Wasior flood and Tsunami in Mentawai. The donation result that had been successfully collected was donated via Yayasan Dana Kemanusiaan Kompas.
- Commonwealth Life visited Kasih Immanuel orphanage to celebrate Christmas together. The event was filled with sermon readings, praises, the present of Jupiter as the guest star and lunch together. Commonwealth Life also shared the joy with the orphanage children by gave the donations in form of basic needs for their daily operations.
Year 2009
- As the continuation of The Child Friendly School - Learning Communities for Children (CLCC) program with UNICEF, training on "AJEL" (Active, Joyful, Effective Learning) method to Principals, Teachers, Committeem and Schoold Supervisors is now in the stage of implementation and monitoring phase.
- Inviting high performer children of Child Friendly School - Learning Communities for Children (CLCC) or School Based Management program to visit Commonwealth Life Head Office and also to visit recreational place and landmarks in Jakarta
- Watching "Meraih Mimpi" (the 1st Indonesia animation movie that is starred by famous local artists) and breakfasting together with high performer children from selected public schools in Jakarta at Blitz Megaplex - Grand Indonesia.
- Donation as much as AUS$100.000 from CBA Group worldwide to Tasikmalaya earthquake victims through a charity foundation from one of leading national daily in Indonesia "Kompas Humanitarian Fund"
- Fund raising event called "Make a Difference on This Joyous Christmas" for Pondok Kasih and Pondok Taruna Orphanages. The event was filled with Christmas Carol performance from the orphanages. Visitors may take their photo on the provided Christmas booth and at the same time giving their donations in any forms such as clothes, stationery, cash money, and many more.
Year 2008
- Participated in UNICEF Indonesia fund raising program, Child Friendly School - Learning Communities for Children, in ten primary schools in Lebak District, Banten for three years period starting January 2008
- Fund raising program "Sharing and Caring on Christmas" to Pelayanan Kasih Bakti Mandiri Foundation and Daya Darma Foundation. People may take a picture at Commonwealth Life's stand and invited to share some donations in form of money, book, or clothes
- Breakfasting with Commonwealth Life's employees and hundred of Orphans from Daarul Uluum Al-Islamiyah Foundation and Yatim Musholla Nurul Huda Foundation
Year 2007
- Support Aliansi Jurnalis Independen (AJI) and UNICEF Indonesia Award for the Best Journalistic regarding Children Issue, as our concern to the future of Indonesia's young generation
- Support UNICEF's "Send a Card Save a Life" program on Plaza Senayan Jakarta, 10-18 November 2007
- Participated in the UNICEF’s fund collection to Consumers of Commonwealth Life under the effort to improve the life of Indonesian Children.
- Participated in "Lupus Day Out" held by PT Roche Indonesia on August 2007.
Year 2006
- Together with WWF-Indonesia performed fund collection under the framework of WWF conservation started from July 2006 until April 2007.
- Through 'Cause We Care' program, the Customer who performed donation from the payments which were paid to UNICEF and BAZIS of Special Capital District of Jakarta ("DKI") during September 2005 - February 2006.
- Performed UNICEF's fund collection campaign to the Customers of Commonwealth Life in order to support Indonesian Children Free from Polio program during March-July 2006.
Year 2005
- Gave donation of hundreds of reading books to Sanggar Ciliwung which was supported by Gramedia and Femina Group on 11 February 2005.
- Performed Photography Exhibition of "Pelangi di Serambi Mekah" altogether with Oktagon (14 – 25 February 2005) at the Lobby of Sentra Mulia Building. The exhibition selling result was donated for victims of natural disaster in Aceh and North Sumatera through UNICEF together with delivery of official donation from Commonwealth Life.
